Now that there are no more eruptions in Iceland, the Icelandic tourist industry and government have started a massive nationwide campaign to attract tourists to the country. The theme is “Inspired by Iceland.”
“We are sure that now people know that Iceland is safe again, they will start flocking to the country,” says Minister of Industry and Tourism Katrín Júlíusdóttir.
Today, Thursday, is the day that all Icelanders are asked to send their friends and family members abroad a link to a new video showing the wonders of the country.
The video features many of the most popular places in Iceland and some very lively people dancing to the beat of “Jungle Drum,” Emilíana Torrini’s hit song.
